   This is what i got in email today.

   We would like to inform you that with effect from January 16, 2012, document handling charge of Rs. 25/- per day per dispatch will be levied to your account for receiving physical contract note.

   Please note if the daily brokerage generated by you is less than Rs.25/-, then the difference between the brokerage charged and Rs.25 would be levied in your account as document handling charges. If the brokerage generated is more than Rs. 25/- no document handling charges will be applicable.

   For instance: If you generate a brokerage of Rs. 15, you will be levied a sum of Rs. 10 as document handling charges in your ledger

   AS i was saying devang they are just blood suckers.Now this sudden move without any option for investor will likely to create millions for this brokerage house.

   And now private bank HDFC will charge for non operative accounts

   HDFC will now charge Rs 50 per month if a customer's savings or current account has remained inoperative for a year.Plus the bank has also planned to charge its 'non-managed' customer
   for deposits above Rs 100,000 in cash during a day in savings account.This order will be regulated from Jan 1,2012.

   Who are Non-managed customers ?

   These are mostly those customers who don't have any private banking or wealth management account with the bank.
